My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ Our Only True Lord, God, and Savior,
CHRIST IS IN OUR MIDST! HE WAS, IS, AND EVER SHALL BE.
"…All things through Jesus Christ; to the intent that now the
MANIFOLD WISDOM OF GOD MIGHT BE MADE KNOWN BY
THE CHURCH…" [Ephesians 3:10]
Not only did men not know of God’s mystery, neither did the Angels. They hear of it from men. How can this be? Because "THE CHURCH" affects all elements of creation, FROM THE MATERIAL TO THE IMMATERIAL. The united, renewed humanity made possible by our Lord Christ is the basis of the reconciliation of the heavens and the earth. Therefore, the Church ascends above the Angels; "the principalities and powers." The basis of such an astounding work by men is our Savior’s Resurrection and Exaltation.
The holy Apostle Paul calls himself "less than the least of all," which reveals his great and sincere humility and yet he has accomplished so much in preaching Christ to the Gentile and pagan world. He also says about himself "I am not worthy to be called an Apostle" (1 Corinthians 15:9). Here he says that he is even "less than the least of all saints." Saint John Chrysostom says, "To preach unto the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ, and to make all men see what is the dispensation of the mystery, which from all ages has been hid in God, Who created all things, to the intent that now unto the principalities and the powers in the heavenly places, might be made known through the Church the manifold wisdom of God."
The Holy Church is like a garden full of a variety of colorful flowers symbolizing the various cultures, i.e., Jews and Gentiles, languages and history of peoples in the world that make it what it is today. "The Church is the theater where Angels watch what God is doing through the transformation of its people. They see God’s wisdom in this." The word "by" shows that the Church is the intermediate agent of God’s Wisdom. The Church is the teaching agent to the Angels. As Angels observe what God is doing through the Church and individuals in the Church, they see the "MANIFOLD WISDOM OF GOD."
"Each conversion testifies to the unseen world what God is doing. Watching the salvation of souls is striking to Angels. They will observe that growth in Christ manifests the wonder of Who God is. As superior beings, Angels watch with amazement what God is doing through lesser beings. Angels go to school by seeing God work in the believer. "Principalities and Powers" are orders of Angels both good and bad. The Church does NOT exist for itself but for a greater purpose. The Church refers also to the people of God, the community of faith. Jesus came to establish a new συναγωγή (gathering) or (Hebrew) synagogue (assembly), gathered by Him and UNITED by Him, in the power of the Holy Spirit.
The holy Apostle Paul was commissioned along with all the holy Apostles "to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ." This Divine mission of the Church has continued for over 2,000 years and will continue until God’s mission has been fulfilled and accomplished. The Church continues to preach "The Gospel of your salvation," and to all of mankind; for God’s purpose is to save all men and not just a portion. "And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, ‘All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. GO THEREFORE AND MAKE DISCIPLES OF ALL THE NATIONS, BAPTIZING THEM IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER AND OF THE SON AND OF THE HOLY SPIRIT, TEACHING THEM TO OBSERVE ALL THINGS THAT I HAVE COMMANDED YOU; AND LO, I AM WITH YOU ALWAYS, EVEN TO THE END OF THE AGE" [Matthew 28:19-20). It is understood that "making disciples OF ALL NATIONS" cannot be done in the strength of men, but only in the power of God. If anyone doubts that this can be accomplished let him hear Jesus' own words: "With men it is impossible, but NOT with God, for with God ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE" [Mark 10:27].
The world population currently is over 8 billion people. The estimated Christian population is 2.38 billion worldwide. Therefore the Church has a great challenge ahead of her to preach the Gospel of Salvation to all eight billion people and make all the nations of the world disciples of Christ. Since the Almighty God wills it there is nothing to prevent it from happening. It is imperative, however, that all Christians be united and speak and preach the authentic Gospel and same Gospel message. Christians must not be divided as they are today into thousands of fragments. By being so divided, Christians themselves will be guilty of hindering the spread of the Good News to mankind. All Christians must, as it was meant to be, by our Lord, of one mind and faith. All heresy must be extinguished because it is satanic and poisonous, and all Christians must adhere to Christ’s Truth, Holy Gospel and share with the world "The manifold Wisdom of God".. There is only one God and Father of all, one body, one Spirit ,one Faith, one Church, one Baptism, one Truth, "one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5). It takes God’s Divine Wisdom and Grace to overcome all heresy, division, distortion, deception and lying.
Saint Paul says, "Therefore, putting away lying, ‘Let each of you speak truth with his neighbor,’ FOR WE ARE MEMBERS OF ONE ANOTHER" [Ephesians 4:25].
The Church in which Christian life develops, is not primarily an organization, but an organism whose parts or members receive their edifying power from Christ to grow up into Christ. Saint Paul does not look at the Christian as an isolated individual walking towards perfection, but AS A MEMBER OF THE BODY, striving to reach the perfect faith and full knowledge of the Son of God. Thus UNITY OF FAITH, cannot be separated from knowledge of the Son of God. The process of Christian growth requires our free-will commitment to walk in "righteousness and holiness" [Ephesians 4:24]. A child of light can no longer act as a child of darkness. A change of life-style is possible because of Christ, the Original "new man". So Christ must be "learned" [Ephesians 4:20] and relationship with Him must be "renewed" (v. 23). [Source: The New Testament]
